I just found out Saturday that I got accepted to a University in my city. It was one of my first choice schools and now I don't feel bad anymore cuz I finally have an acceptance letter.
It's just scary now deciding if I wanna leave my mom or not.

Congratulations! Now the hard decisions start, but if you're in the same city as the school, you could just stay at home and save money right?

I do kinda sorta want to stay home so we can save money, but I think I aam going to transfer after my sophmore year to NYU.

That's wonderful news. I know that it's always a challenging, exciting and nerve racking time when you're at that point in your life. I'm sure whatever you decide it'll be the thing that's best for you. The college sounds like a great place and something you want, but I can understand how you feel about your mother. My mother and I are the best of friends and I was really, really nervous when I went off to college myself. It was my first big break away from my family and I wasn't sure how it would go. It turned out that it was something that in it's own way helped me grow as an adult and it strengthened my relationship with my mother as well (not to mention wound up costing me a bit on phone bills there lol) but seriously this is a really important time in your life and I wish you the best of luck wherever the road takes you Congrats on the acceptance letter!
